What the counselor does:

Listens to me when I am happy, sad, or angry.
Talks with me about my schoolwork.
Works with students to develop social skills.
Visits my classroom to introduce guidance lessons.
Helps groups of boys and girls.
Works with teachers in the classroom.
Is my friend.

The counselor talks to my teacher, to my mom and / or my dad about:

How I get along with my classmates.
How I get along with my work.
Me as a very special person.

There are many ways to see the counselor:

I can ask to go to the counselor’s room.
Mom and / or dad can ask that I talk with the counselor.
My teacher can ask the counselor to see me.
