Fort Hunt is a science and arts focus school with Spanish partial immersion. Fort Hunt Strings students prepare for their performances at the District 10 Virginia Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble Festival at Holmes Middle School Friday, April 19, 2013. Fort Hunt students learn in various ways throughout the school day. Second grade students wrapped up a unit on Native Americans by creating their own representations of their environments. Fort Hunt sixth graders represented the school at the All County Choral Festival on April 20. Fort Hunt students enjoyed hearing about her books, The Best Bad Luck I Ever Had and Lions of Little Rock. SOL Testing

SOL testing will begin May 13 at Fort Hunt Elementary. It is important that you encourage your child to do their best during this time. In order to help students perform their best, they should get a good night's rest the night before the test and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. Thanks for your support!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS ENTERING 6TH GRADE IN THE FALL

Virginia law now requires that all students receive a booster dose of Tdap vaccine prior to entering sixth grade if at least five years have elapsed since the last dose of tetanus toxoid-containing vaccine was given. All immunizations required for school are free of charge at the Fairfax County Health Departments or you may take your child to his or her physician.
