The First Day of School
On the first day of school, rest assured that the staff will assist all students in finding their classrooms and becoming acclimated. We want you and your child(ren) to be as comfortable as possible in our school. Most of you will probably say your goodbyes at the bus stop or Kiss and Ride area.

Bus Routes
Forestville bus routes will be provided at Open House or by other means if parents cannot attend. The list tells where the stop is and the approximate time for pick-up at the first stop of each route. Delays may be expected during the first few days of school as any issues are worked out. In addition, any overcrowding of buses (more than three students in a seat) will also be worked out. We appreciate your patience.

For those parents who opt to drive their children to/from school, we will continue the safety procedures instituted last year. Staff members will be available to direct traffic beginning that first day at 8:50 a.m. and at 8:55 a.m. each day thereafter.
If you are new to Forestville and choose to drop off your children, please know that you should turn on to our side driveway, paying close attention and yielding to pedestrians at the crosswalk. Follow the signs to loop around the parking lot near the second entrance. When staff are out at the Kiss and Ride, custodians serve as patrols with a stop sign to also insure that pedestrians are safe. Orange cones will indicate the drop off/pick up points.
Lunches
• A student lunch costs $2.65 per day.
• A la carte items are available daily.

We strongly recommend that parents establish an account in the cafeteria to avoid carrying money each day and to assist any child who might forget their lunch. A PTA account has been established for such emergencies, however that money is limited and should be reimbursed immediately.
