Caitlin Dalrymple and her Girl Scout Gold Award team painted a map of the United States on the Forestville Elementary School blacktop on August 25, 2013. Caitlin decided to paint the map for her Girl Scout Gold Award project. In addition to painting the map of the United States on the blacktop, Caitlin created a packet of classroom games so that the map can be incorporated into classroom lessons. With the help of the Forestville history department head, Jane Conner, and her fellow teachers, Caitlin created a packet of classroom games ranging from geography games to interactive book reports that incorporate the playground map. See Caitlin's Web site for more information.
