Forestdale Elementary School has served the Springfield community since 1964. The actual school name came about when the two subdivisions of Springfield Forest and Loisdale were combined to form Forestdale Elementary. Today, Forestdale serves the subdivisions of Springfield Forest, Loisdale, Greenwood, South Parkway, and Springfield Crossing Apartments.
