School lunch menus will be sent home on a monthly basis. Parents are welcome to eat with their children. Please call the school before 9:00 a.m. to make a reservation. Cost of lunch (including milk) is $2.40 for students and $3.40 for adults. Children may bring a bag lunch from home and purchase milk or juice for $.60. Breakfast charge is $1.50 for students. Parents may prepay for their child's meals. Students who prepay will receive a personalized account card to use for meals and ala carte purchases. Parents may specify how their child's meal money is to be used. No lunch charges are permitted. Some families find it difficult to pay for their children's meals at school. In order to be sure that the school system is meeting the nutritional needs of all school-age children, it is the policy to provide free/reduced-price meal applications to children in need of assistance. Free and reduced-price appplications are mailed to all households annually. Application for this service must be completed by the parent, and forwarded to the FCPS Office of Food Services.
