Service Learning Projects

Falls Church High School Service Learning program initiatives:

• Our Service Learning projects help students become:
• community oriented by gaining an appreciation for the benefits of service and their potential impact on the community and world
• professionally responsible with ethics, integrity and high standards
• experienced leaders by practicing key leadership skills such as goal setting, consensus building and project management.  
• Our Service Learning projects fulfill the FCPS School Board Goals:

Student Achievement Goal 2. Essential Life Skills

• All students will demonstrate the aptitude, attitude, and skills to lead responsible, fulfilling, and respectful lives. 

Student Achievement Goal 3. Responsibility to the Community

• All students will understand and model the important attributes that people must have to contribute to an effective and productive community and the common good of all. 

Our projects fulfill Standards of Learning CE.4
All students will understand and model the important attributes that people must have to contribute to an effective and productive community and the common good of all.
CE.4    The student will demonstrate knowledge of personal character traits that facilitate thoughtful and effective participation in civic life by
