Honor
Code
Purpose
The purpose of the Honor Code
is to guarantee Falls Church High School’s students, as
well as the faculty, the best educational experience and to instill
life-long values.
This code embodies
the principles and standards necessary for encouraging personal
responsibility and integrity. By enforcing this honor code, the
student body and the staff will be provided an equal and fair
opportunity to learn and to teach in a learning environment of
academic integrity.
Inappropriate Behaviors
The following are unacceptable forms of conduct:
1.
Cheating – Includes
providing answers to others, copying assignments or tests
from other students, or looking at other
students’ tests, homework, and other assignments.
2.
Plagiarizing – Using
another person’s
thoughts, ideas or words without proper reference. Also includes
the
act of recycling or purchasing papers.
3.
Abusing Technology Privileges**

Acquiring an Unfair Advantage – Looking
at tests or other assignments ahead of time, looking
at teachers’ material
without permission, receiving information regarding tests or
other assignments from other students.

Lying and Misrepresentation

Forging and Altering Documents or Signatures

unacceptable uses of school computers and/or electronic resources.
