FCHS AVID CURRICULUM

High School (9-12) The AVID Program has been developed to improve students' understanding of the path to college. AVID includes a sequential approach to college-prep study skills, the college admissions process, and decision-making. AVID curriculum includes approaches to note taking for college (Cornell style), understanding the college admission process, taking entrance exams, formulating a master education plan, and preparing for PSAT, ACT, and SAT I and II tests.  AVID encourages academic rigor for students throughout their high school careers that will allow them to be better prepared to succeed in college.
