Mission

The Science Department seeks to offer quality classes that academically enrich students seeking more than just the basic science requirements necessary for graduation. In addition to providing a variety of curriculum, the department will also meet the academic needs of the diverse student population.

Vision

The Science Department is committed to achieving the following goals:

• Create an atmosphere of educational excellence and a desire for individual student achievement
• Develop students into effective problem solvers, capable decision makers and responsible, educated citizens
• To make FCHS students and staff visible to the surrounding community as scientifically trained people through events such as the Science Fair, the Science Olympiad, and other special events
