The twentieth century poets we studied were Lorca, Machado, Storni, Julia de Burgos, Castellanos, Neruda and Guillén. During the second quarter we also studied nineteenth century prose. We studied the realist Clarin, the naturalist Pardo Bazán and the romantics and costumbrists Larra and Palma . In the third quarter we are just beginning to study the amazingly rich twentieth century prose. We will study the Galician Gaite and the existencialist Unamuno. We will also study the Latin American "Boom" with writers like the erudite Borges and Cortázar and the magic realist García Márquez. You will hear more soon.
