All Fairfax County schools have an enrichment program for identified children. A Gifted/Talented program resource teacher is assigned to the school two days a week and works with all teachers. In addition, approximately three percent of students in grades 3-6 are involved in a pullout model that provides opportunities for children with special talents to utilize them in a school setting. Children are expected to maintain their regular classroom assignments while in the program. A school screening committee selects students for the program.
