Electronics Recycling at the Villa

Join us from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, May 17th at Fairfax Villa for a community electronics recycling day. If it takes a battery or has a plug, we can take it! There is a small charge for taking hazardous electronics such as LCD monitors and TVs. You can also get your old hard drives crushed onsite for $10 each. See this flyer for details. All proceeds help support the Language Arts program at Fairfax Villa.

Discovery Garden News

The Garden Planning Committee wants to pass along a big warm THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people who donated their time and tools at Tuesday's Fairfax Villa Garden Work Day! With your help, just about all of the preliminary planting is complete and the Discovery Garden prepped!

There will be another work day on Saturday May 17th (rain day to be announced). We will work on:

  • mulching the butterfly garden area
  • creating a border around the herb garden and strawberry area
  • planting a few more trees
  • building some benches in the middle area of the courtyard
  • putting together a few picnic tables so the children have somewhere to sit.

Stay tuned for more information to be distributed after Spring Break!
