Welcome to Fairfax Villa!
The teachers and staff at Fairfax Villa are very excited to welcome back our students in grades 1-6 and extend a special welcome to our "new" students - those in preschool or kindergarten and those students transferring from another school. We look forward to the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8th.
New Bells and School Time
New bell schedules are being implemented throughout FCPS this fall. Here are the new starting and dismissal times for Fairfax Villa:

- 9:15 – The tardy bell rings and our school day begins! Any students coming to school after this time need to be brought into the office by their parents or guardians and signed in.
- 4:00 - Dismissal
The preschool hours are 9:20 - 12:40 for the morning session and 12:40 - 4:00 for the afternoon session.

Changes in Parent Accounts
FCPS is excited to offer parents one account that will allow them to access both SIS (Student Information System) Parent accounts and FCPS 24-7 Learning (Blackboard) beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
As of September 8th, 2015, parents will use their SIS Parent Account username/password to log in to both
FCPS 24-7 Learning and their SIS Parent Account. There will no longer be a registration process for FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent Accounts. Parents will have to have an active SIS Parent account to see their FCPS 24-7 Learning courses for their children.
If you do not have a SIS Parent account, please email Barbara Schmidt at firstname.lastname@example.org and you can request a new activation key and instructions on how to set up the SIS Parent Account.

What is Dreambox? DreamBox is a rigorous math curriculum that students access online. It adapts to meet each student’s educational needs while playing within the program in an engaging learning environment on a desktop computer, laptop or iPad.
Click the following links to read more (in English and Spanish) about Dreambox and how parents can access Dreambox and set up their own parent account.
