BOOK Your Summer!

Just as athletes practice their sport to improve, readers need to read often to gain acceleration, skill and accuracy. To encourage summer reading, Fairfax County Public Schools is sponsoring a program for students called READ!

Students mark off squares on a READ! Card as they read different books. As with BINGO, when the squares are marked off, students can be entered to win a prize.

Two prizes that will be awarded to students in our school will be $50 in books, one per grade level, as well as one new laptop computer per school!

The program runs from June 27-September 7, 2016.  Reading lists and a copy of the READ! card will be placed in student report cards.  You can complete the Read! card online or bring it to school prior to September 7th.

More information can be found at: .
In addition to “Book Your Summer” you may also participate in a program provided by Fairfax County Public Libraries. Click here for more details:
Please contact us, the librarian Robin Mims or the reading specialist Laura Cohen,  for further information.
