What if…? This is the question author William Boniface asked when he imagined Superopolis, a city where everyone has a super power but Ordinary Boy. Influenced by Mr. Boniface’s appreciation of comic books and baseball cards, The Extraordinary Adventures of Ordinary Boy is a series of chapter books that are part mystery, part graphic novel.

During the program, Mr. Boniface talks about his approach to the writing process and how he developed over 100 heroes and villains, including Professor Brain-Drain. He also answers questions posed by students in the studio and via telephone and e-mail.

Videotaped segments include original comic book characters by elementary school students and a brief look at The Comic Arts Collection at Virginia Commonwealth University.
