The following items are required to register a student in Fairfax County Public Schools:

1. Proof of Residency
2. Proof of Birth
3. Documentation of Previous Education Program (Transcript)
4. Current Immunization Records

Families are welcome (but not required) to print and fill out forms before their registration appointment. The registration forms are in pdf format and are available at:

Fairfax County Public Schools Student Registration handles the following types of registrations:

• Home language is something other than English (Bilingual specialists are available to help families with limited English proficiency.)
• Foreign students
• Student’s natural parents or legally adoptive parents do not reside in Fairfax County
• Tuition-paying students
• Students in foster care
