| Dance Team |
The FHS Varsity Dance Team is a full year commitment with three seasons. Practices begin in mid-August to prepare for the fall football season. During the school year, the team practices 3 days a week: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings. During the Fall Season, the team performs at all the home varsity football games, the Fall Pep Rally, and generally compete in one or two competitions. During the Winter Season, the team performs at all the home men's varsity basketball games, the Student/Faculty basketball game, and the Winter Pep Rally. The spring season offers one or more opportunities to compete and to perform at other performance venues, such as the Spring Pep Rally, Talent Show, Kings Dominion Competition, etc. Visit our website under the FHS Athletics Page for more information. |

Deca is a co-curricular Marketing
organization for High School students. It allows students to showcase
competencies that are learned within their marketing classes. Examples
are: Marketing Research Projects, Entrepreneurship Business Plans, Civc
Consciousness and Earn Projects. The Role Play events are designed to
test knowledge of Customer Service, Job Interview, Selling, Marketing
Management, Retail Merchandising and Product Placement scenarios. Leadership
Training is an important part of Deca and academies are designed to prepare
students for leadership roles in their existing chapters or future Marketing
and Management classes at the college level. |

Its nation-wide membership is base on official points gained through participation in produtions. If ou serve on wardrobe, as a carpenter, in the chorus, as a lead, or any other rold taht makes its way into the program, you will be on your way to becoming a member. ITS membership looks great on college applications, and can even earn you a Theatre Legger for a letter jacket. That State ITS Conference is a great place to attend theatre worshops and meet other ITS members from high schools across Virginia. At our formal Awards Banquet in May, new ITS members are inducted during a candlelit ceremony. | |
