Course Description
This class will offer students instruction in dance with a focus on Ballet, Modern, and Jazz. Also, the class will provide exposure to other styles such as Tap, African, and Hip-Hop. Students will develop a more disciplined mind and body through daily instruction in technique classes. Students will work on flexibility, strength, and control; experience the sheer joy and passion of the art form; and learn how to use dance to integrate mind, body, and spirit. This class will also provide students with a stimulating look at 20th century dance history, informing them of the past and current influences on the craft.
The ultimate goal of this class is for every student to be encouraged and rewarded for an open-minded approach to finding the artist within themselves. This is a pre-professional program geared towards preparing the student for college dance programs or professional auditions.

Level 2: Students will demonstrate through an audition at least an intermediate level of dance training.
Level 3: Students will demonstrate through an audition an intermediate/advanced level.
Level 4: Students will demonstrate through an audition an advanced level of technique as well as excellent performance quality.
