The Edison High School Improvement Plan has implemented a school-wide mentoring program that identifies and pairs students with faculty members to engage in conversations and activities that promote academic and life achievement through a school-based mentoring program. Many of the selected students are part of the Focus 9th grade transition program; however, the mentees are very diverse and represent the various student groups at Edison High School. The mentees and mentors will meet at least twice each month to discuss academics and other areas of student interest. The faculty members volunteered their time and have committed to serving as mentors for the entire school year. For more information about the mentoring program or the Focus 9th grade transitional program, please contact Mr. Henry Thompson or Ms. Jennifer L. Platt.
