An Alum in the Spotlight - David Magnotti

david magnottiI applied at the new Microsoft Store, thinking that being hired was a longshot. But, with the Microsoft certifications I achieved in high school through my business and information technology classes, including Edison Academy, I was able to catch the attention of Microsoft's HR department and get hired. Edison Academy not only has provided me with invaluable knowledge, but it's also given me something to quantify my knowledge to get ahead in my career field. The certifications I earned in high school include Adobe Certified Associate, Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Specialist, Microsoft Certified System Administrator, CompTIA A+ Certified IT Technician, Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate. I have been studying at Northern Virginia Community College as a full-time student, and have plans to graduate in 2013 with a Computer Science's associates degree and transfer to a four year university.
