ERFC Hosts Annual Retirement Planning Seminar
All ERFC members are invited to attend the annual Pre-Retirement Seminar
on Monday, January 26th from 8:30 a.m. until noon
at West Springfield High School - 6100 Rolling Road – Springfield
The program will feature presentations from ERFC, VRS, the Social Security Administration and the FCPS Benefits Office. Spouses and other guests are welcomed, but registration is required for all attendees:

Pre-Retirement Workshops
ERFC hosts pre-retirement workshops throughout the school year to help prepare members who are within two years of retirement eligibility. Workshops are currently scheduled at Robinson Secondary in Fairfax in February, March and April. Please note that seating is limited and pre-registration is required.

ERFC - A Defined Benefit Plan
ERFC is a defined benefit plan qualified under 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. Funding is provided in part by employer and member contributions to the Plan; income earned through investment of the Plan's assets provides the majority of funding.
Membership
ERFC members include retirees and active Fairfax County Public Schools personnel who are employed full-time in monthly-paid educational, administrative, and support staff positions. The ERFC provides two defined benefit plan structures.

Retirement counselors are available to meet with members individually in counseling sessions* scheduled Monday through Thursday. Late afternoon appointments beginning at 4:00 and 5:00 pm are also available on Tuesdays.
