Students in the fifth and sixth grades who have at least one year of experience and can read music may participate in the Herndon/Reston Area Orchestra. This group is a combined ensemble made up of several elementary schools in the area. It meets on Monday afternoons from October through March. Students prepare two concerts and participate in the VBODA District 12 Orchestra Festival.
