A Message from our PTA president:
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! The Deer Park PTA mission is to encourage parent and community involvement in the education, health and welfare of our students. The PTA provides a wonderful way to support your child and become more actively involved with your school's community.

The PTA meetings are monthly, normally on the first Tuesday at 7pm in the school library. Babysitting is provided in the adjacent language arts room at all meetings. The dates for this year’s meetings are listed on the right.
Mark your calendars now and plan to attend. The meetings provide an opportunity to get to know the principal, assistant principal, teachers and other parents and share issues, plan events and ways to support the school. Most important you will get the latest information about what is happening at our school.
There are a variety of ways for you to get involved. See the list of Volunteer Opportunities that was sent home in the back to school packets. Check out the school calendar for dates and times for upcoming events. If you are available, volunteer to help at an event by contacting me or the committee chair of that event. Whatever your talent or skill, the PTA welcomes your help!
Participating in the PTA is a very rewarding experience for both the children and parents, so please consider volunteering! Together we can make our school a better place for our children to learn and succeed.
