Book Fair Information:

Please join us for our Bookworm Plantation Book Fair beginning this Friday!!! A successful book fair will help our school raise funds for the library and also help your child discover the rich rewards of reading. Cash, Checks, and Credit Cards Accepted. Please make checks payable to Deer Park PTA.

Monday, April 7th: During Teacher Workday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Tuesday, April 8th: Family Late Shopping Day, 8:30am - 8:00pm

Library Policies      
Our Misson Statement: The mission of the Library Media Center is to ensure that the students and staff at Deer Park Elementary School are independent and effective users of information. The program fosters an appreciation for literature and encourages reading for pleasure.

Student Access: The library media center is open to students during school hours for circulation of books, independent and group research, recreational reading and media activities. Classes in grades K-2 have a weekly scheduled library time for a story or lesson with Mrs. Clement and selecting books to take home. Classes in grades 3-6 schedule a weekly time to return and check out books, lessons are scheduled as needed. Students have access to the library at any time during school hours with teacher permission.

Notices: Overdue notices are printed on Wednesdays. These notices are reminders that a student has a book checked out for more than two weeks. Kindergarten and first grade students are encouraged to return their books each week. The students will be given these notices and sent home in the Thursday envelopes as a reminder to return the books. Students can renew books if more time is needed.

Lost or damaged books: Students will be billed for books that are lost or damaged. If a lost book is found please return it to the library and we will refund your money.
