Mr. Adam Erbrecht, Principal

Mr. Erbrecht began his Fairfax County Public Schools career in 2003 as a Teacher, teaching at Fairview and Powell Elementary Schools until his appointment as an assistant principal, serving at Powell and Providence Elementary Schools. Mr. Erbrecht is skilled at building Professional Learning Communities. He served as a resource to a variety of Collaborative Teams and facilitated the development of a school wide Responsive Classroom approach resulting in a positive learning enviornment for students and staff. He is committed to closing the achievement gap and has high expectations for the use of technology.

Mr. Erbrecht earned his Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education at Grove City College in Pennsylvania and his Master of Education at the University of Virginia. Throughout this tenure with our school system, he has remained abreast of the latest trends in education and teacher leadership by attending workshops and becoming well-rounded in all aspects of best practice instruction.

Mr. Dave Gerstner, Assistant Principal

Mr. Dave Gerstner began his educational career in FCPS in 2004.  At Franklin Middle School, he taught seventh grade Physical Education and Health before becoming the Administrative Assessment Coach in 2009.  The position was created by the principal specifically for him to further his development as an instructional leader. In this role, Mr. Gerstner was actively involved in the daily and long-term goals of the school as a key member of the administrative team. In the spring of 2012, he was asked to become the acting Assistant Principal at Lees Corner Elementary School. This experience allowed him to gain a greater insight into elementary leadership which broadened his perspective of school administration.      

Mr. Gerstner graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health, as well as a Master of Educational Leadership. He grew up in Canandaigua, New York and still roots for the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.  He enjoys going to the movies with his wife, attending Capitals hockey games and cheering for his alma mater in football and basketball.
