Description
Summer school can be an intensive experience. Those taking an online summer school course should be prepared to devote thirty hours per week for the five-week session on the computer completing course materials! The courses are written specifically for the Internet and frequently use multimedia components, animated tutorials, and interactive exercises. They also provide for online communication with the teacher and other students. Students progress individually through the course material in the sequence that matches their learning style and monitor their progress with ongoing self-check assessments and evaluations. However, there will be teacher-directed deadlines, due dates, and examinations. The course work can be completed anytime during the day/evening and anywhere that a student has access to a computer.
