Free for Fairfax County Public School students taking this course as a part of their regular school course schedule. If a student is already taking 7 courses and decides to add an online course, a fee of $650 per year-long course will be applied. For out of county students, a tuition fee of $750 per year-long course must be paid at registration.

Description: 
Physics I introduces the central concepts of physics, including the dual wave-particle nature of light, the conservation laws (mass energy, and momentum), and atomic theory. This laboratory-centered course utilizes an approach that is inductive and mathematical as well as conceptual. Students will be expected to attend face to face sessions to complete laboratory work.
