Tuition:
 Free for Fairfax County Public School students taking this course as a part of their regular school course schedule. If a student is already taking 7 courses and decides to add an online course, a fee of $600 per year-long course will be applied. For out of county students, a tuition fee of $700 per year-long course must be paid at registration.

Description:

Students demonstrate competency in a lifetime sport or activity and demonstrate physical fitness and an understanding of conditioning principles.  One quarter of the course includes instruction in the health education.  Family Life Education (FLE) lessons are the responsibility of the parent.  (An FLE Packet will be provided to the parent.)  The classroom component of Driver Education is not part of this course.  It is the responsibility of the parent to provide that opportunity. (Virginia DMV has a list of acceptable Driver Training Courses, online, or, classroom based.  Parents will submit evidence of successful completion.  If student already possesses a valid driver’s license this requirement is waived.) All quarter grades are averaged to determine the final HPE grade.
