| Description: |
Students learn skills in designing, installing, configuring, operating and troubleshooting simple and complex computer networks. This course includes topics in network architecture, industry standards and communications protocols, networking devices (such as routers and switches), media selection, topologies, data transmission, and cabling for local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). The coursework is designed to help students prepare for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. During the second semester, selected students may participate in internship activities in cooperation with the local business community. Diploma Seal: Students successfully completing this course may be eligible to earn a Career and Technical Education Diploma Seal.
