Course Description
Through hands-on experiences, participants learn to use the features of the program to create text slides, bullet lists, bordered and shadowed text, on-screen slide shows with automatic timing, and to manipulate clip art. Participants also learn to use the drawing tools and different view options to print notes pages, rearrange the order of slides, and print outlines of presentations. Creating effective slide show presentations is stressed. Each participant creates and presents to the class a slide show project that can be used in a class or meeting.
Requirements: Participants must allend ALL class sessions and participate fully in all activities. Complete a minimum of 15 hours of out-of-class activities to include projects and review of class handouts and readings. Participants should bring 2 high density formatted disks to class.

- Create a Slide Show using the Outline view

- Manipulate object on slides
- Enter, editing and formatting text on a slide
- Correcting mistakes

- Creating s Slide Master and a Title Master
- Applying and changing a Color Scheme
- Using clip art and graphics
- Effective use of Images
- Using the Drawing tools
- Using animation and sound
- Making the presentation
- Speaker notes
- Preparing handouts
Prerequisites
Windows Fundamentals or equivalent experience and basic experience with using Microsoft Word.

Successful completion of this course will validate the multimedia/presentation portion of Standards 1-4 of the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel (TSIP)
