Course Description
This course provides the participant with an overview of the word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation components of the Microsoft Office suite. Participants learn the basics of creating and editing a document in Word, setting up and using a spreadsheet in Excel, creating and using a slide presentation in PowerPoint, and creating and using a database in Access.
Prerequisites
Participants must have a basic understanding of the operating system installed on their computer (Macintosh or Windows) and must have a computer with Microsoft Office 2000 or later installed in order to complete the required out of class assignments.
TSIP Information
Successful completion of this course will validate the word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation/multimedia portions of Standards 1-4 of the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel (TSIP).
