Instructional Management System (IMS) Fundamentals

Course Description

This course is designed for high and middle school staff members who are new to the Instructional Management System (IMS). Participants are provided with an overview of the CLASSxp (attendance), InteGrade Pro (gradebook), and Abacus (monitor student achievement) programs. Participants learn to track attendance, manage an online gradebook, and to assess student achievement. The course examines data, explores its implications, and assists teachers in making informed decisions as it relates to student achievement.

Prerequisites

Participants must have a basic understanding of using the Windows operating system. Participants must have a computer with the IMS software installed available outside of class in order to complete homework assignments.

TSIP Information

This course does not meet any part of the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel.
