High School School-Based Program

SOL Test-Only Program (FCPS Term Graduates Only, students scheduled to graduate by August 31, 2009)

Eligibility

Only FCPS term graduates who have passed a high school level tested course(s) but need to achieve a passing score on the associated Virginia SOL test(s) may register for this program. Current FCPS grade 9 -11 students have the opportunity to take the test(s) in the fall of 2009 and spring of 2010 at their base school and should consult their counselors in September.

Test-Only Session A: Writing

(Writing is a two-day test. Students must attend both days to complete the Multiple Choice and Direct Writing/Short Paper tests.)

Test Dates and Time

August 4 (Expedited retakes will be given to eligible students pending receipt of initial test scores.)

Students must arrive at the test site to check in by 7:30 a.m. and bring a form of personal identification, preferably one with a photograph.

It is possible to take the Writing SOL test in July and two additional SOL tests (one per day) on July 31 and August 3. Students may only take the test identified on their completed registration form. No additional tests or switching of tests is permitted.

Individual high schools will offer the Test-Only program for its students or combine with other schools.  For further information, contact your child’s school.

Transportation

No transportation is provided for the Test-Only Program.
