Attendance Requirements

More than two cumulative days of absence, for any reason, from any high school course will result in the student’s withdrawal from summer school as outlined in FCPS Student Responsibilities and Rights (2601.P). Detailed information will be distributed to parents and students. Students must successfully complete course requirements to receive credit.

SOL Test Eligibility

SOL tests will be administered during the state mandated test dates.
FCPS students may complete the associated SOL test upon completion of the summer school course.

Transportation

Transportation to and from base schools is the responsibility of the parent, guardian, or student. Transportation is provided for all FCPS high school students between and or among high schools that combine to provide classes.  The summer school principal will provide bus information to students who register by June 23.

Food Services

Vending service will be available at all schools.  Students will have additional food service options at eligible schools.  For more information, contact your child’s school.

School-Based Credit Recovery High School Courses

FCPS students may register for only one credit recovery course for repeat credit. Students taking one of these courses do not have to register separately to take the associated Virginia SOL test. The test is given as part of the course.

Students with disabilities who register for general education courses must provide a copy of a current IEP to the classroom teacher to obtain necessary classroom and testing accommodations.
