Great Beginnings Coaches

Great Beginnings Coaches are classroom teachers who have an interest in supporting beginning teachers. They have extensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction, FCPS instructional goals and expectations, and solid classroom management skills.  Our Coaches serve as models for teachers beginning or continuing their FCPS careers.

Not only are Great Beginnings Coaches learners who dedicate themselves toward their own professional development during the summer and throughout the school year, but they also provide professional learning for beginning teachers.  Coaches lead workshops at the Summer Institute which help beginning teachers prepare for a successful school year, and they facilitate learning at after-school seminars each month.  The support of the coaches makes the Great Beginnings Programs truly successful.
