Fairfax County Public Schools - PALS: Performance Assessment for Language Students

Conversion of Percentage Score to Gradebook Points

Use the following chart only for assessment tasks where the maximum possible raw score is 24 points. The chart helps teachers who use points rather than percentages in their gradebooks to convert the student's percentage score to gradebook points.

For example, if a teacher wishes to make the assessment a 40-point maximum grade in the gradebook, the teacher would use the 40 Point Task column to convert student percentage scores (or the student raw scores) to gradebook points. Therefore, a student whose percentage score is 91.3 (raw score of 20) would receive 36.5 gradebook points for the assessment.
