Organizations

The Washington Area Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (WATESOL) is a non-profit professional association for ESL/EFL teachers and volunteers in Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

TESOL (Teachers of English to speakers of other languages) is an acronym that refers to both the field itself and the professional association. TESOL's mission is to ensure excellence in English language teaching to speakers of other languages. For more information visit the TESOL Web site.
