Prerequisite: Construction Technologies 1 (851527)
Students will receive advanced instruction and experiences in the areas of layout and design, framing, estimating, purchasing, planning, and installing. Topics will range from residential through commercial construction. An emphasis will be placed on entrepreneurship and construction site management using curriculum developed by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Students will have an opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learned while constructing a single-family house on a construction site. Student internship experiences are an option for this course. Diploma Seal: Students successfully completing this course may be eligible to earn a Career and Technical Education diploma seal.
Sequential Elective: Students successfully completing this course in conjunction with another one credit course within the same program area will satisfy the sequential elective requirement for the standard or modified standard diploma.
Verified Credit: Successful completion of this course in conjunction with a corresponding industry certification may qualify for a student selected verified credit.
