Exploring the Language of Medicine is designed to help students learn health care language. It is presented in logical order, beginning with each body system’s anatomy and physiology and progressing through pathology, diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions, and pharmacology. Concepts, terms and abbreviations are also presented to the students. (This one credit course is part two of the two credit course formerly known as Medical Health Technologies 1.) It may be offered at base schools as an optional course as well as at Chantilly, Falls Church and West Potomac Academies. Diploma Seal: Students successfully completing this course may be eligible to earn a Career and Technical Education Diploma Seal.
