Partnership meetings were held with the Historic Mount Vernon Estate, Department of Operations and Maintenance, and the Belle Haven Country Club resulting in formal agreements to provide behind the scenes tours, job shadow experiences and additional student internships, mentoring for students, and motivational incentives for teachers and students for the 2007-2008 school year. Students from the construction technology class submitted resumes and are under consideration for the Mount Vernon internship with the Estate’s Master Carpenter, which is a new internship this year.
