2007 Summer School Programs Registration Requirements

Non-FCPS students registering for summer school must submit the documentation outlined below along with their completed registration form and payment.

Registration Requirements

Elementary School
Middle and High School
Private School or non-Fairfax County Residents


Elementary School

Prospective students being enrolled for the first time in elementary school in the fall of 2007 (2006-07 Kindergarten completers and above):

  • certificate of physical examination (including required screenings) within the last 12 months
  • proof of immunizations
  • tuberculosis screening is required for some students
  • proof of residence (deed or lease agreement)
  • birth certificate
  • completed and signed “Affirmation” form SS-SE-219 (available for download at: http://www.fcps.edu/DIS/OACE/summer/pdfs/SS-SE-219.pdf

Current non-FCPS elementary students who will enroll in FCPS following FCPS summer school attendance:

  • record of physical examination prior to enrolling in the previous school, or within the last 12 months
  • proof of immunizations
  • tuberculosis screening is required for some students
  • proof of residence (deed or lease agreement)
  • birth certificate
  • any 2006-07 report card or transcript
  • completed and signed “Affirmation” form SS-SE-219 (available for download at: http://www.fcps.edu/DIS/OACE/summer/pdfs/SS-SE-219.pdf

Middle and High School
Current non-FCPS middle and high school students who will enroll in FCPS following FCPS summer school attendance:

  • proof of immunizations
  • tuberculosis screening is required for some students

  • any 2006-07 report card or transcript

Private School or non-Fairfax County Residents
Students of Fairfax County residents enrolled in private schools, and students of non-Fairfax County residents enrolling only in a FCPS summer program:

  • proof of residency (deed or lease agreement) for Fairfax County residents
  • birth certificate
  • any 2006-07 report card or official transcript
  • for elementary school students, record of physical examination (including required screenings) completed prior to enrolling in the current elementary school or within the past 12 months
  • proof of immunizations
  • tuberculosis screening is required for some students
  • completed and signed “Affirmation” form SS-SE-219 (available for download at: http://www.fcps.edu/DIS/OACE/summer/pdfs/SS-SE-219.pdf

Prospective FCPS students who speak a language other than or in addition to English in the home and who are not currently enrolled in FCPS, must first enroll at one of the FCPS student registration centers prior to registering for summer school. Please call one of these centers to schedule an appointment.

The following programs have special registration requirements: Driver Education, TJHSST Summer Technology Institute, and TJHSST Admissions Test Preparation Summer Seminar.
