GED Preparation 401
(60 hours total)
Intermediate-level course to prepare adults for the GED Preparation 501 course. Study in the content areas of the GED Test: Language Arts - Reading, Language Arts - Writing (includes an essay), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Practice in the test-taking skills necessary for success on the GED Test. Students will be expected to take GED Preparation 501 after successful completion of GED Preparation 401. 20 sessions @ 3 hrs each

GED Preparation 501
(60 hours total)
Advanced-level course to prepare adults to take the GED Test. Intensive study in the five content areas of the GED Test: Language Arts - Reading, Language Arts - Writing (includes an essay), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. GED Math Preparation 501
(60 hours total)
Higher level math skills class for adult students. Extensive practice in solving word problems, solving equations - quadratic and linear, reading graphs, use of formulas for geometry problems, and test-taking strategies. An official practice GED math test will be administered on entry and at the end of the class. To qualify, participants must have taken the GED Test or the Official GED Practice Test and not passed the math section. 20 sessions @ 3 hrs each.

GED Writing Skills
(60 hours total)
Strengthen your knowledge of grammar, organization, usage, and mechanics. Write an expository essay in an organized and developed manner using effective word choices. An official writing practice test will be administered on entry and at the end of class. To qualify, participants must have taken the GED test or the official GED practice test and not passed the language arts writing section. 20 sessions @ 3 hrs each. To register, call 703-503-6441.

GED Test (Friday Night and All Day Saturday)
Course: HS07308
(11 hours total)
The GED Test is divided into two sessions. The GED test lasts eight hours and covers five areas: Language Arts—Writing; Language Arts—Reading; Math; Science; and Social Studies. To take the complete test, you must attend both sessions. Must be at least 18 years old and legally withdrawn from school. Limited spaces available so register as soon as possible. No mail-in or online registrations accepted. Register in person and bring an official, government issued picture ID such as a driver’s license and a social security card. El Examen del GED en Español
Course: HS07312
(11 hours total)
El examen del GED tiene una orientación obligatoria el viernes antes del examen. La orientación empieza a las cinco de la tarde. El examen dura ocho horas e incluye cinco tópicos: escritura, lectura, estudios sociales, ciencias, y matemáticas. Hay un sexto examen opcional que se puede tomar en inglés. Este examen puede durar unas dos horas más. Se necesita tener 18 años de edad, ser residente del Condado de Fairfax, y no estar inscrito en una escuela pública. También necesita pre-registrar lo más pronto posible pero al menos una semana antes de la prueba. Lleve identificación oficial que contenga una foto, tal como la licencia de conducir. No se puede mandar la registración por correo.
