Select modules from existing courses and training programs, or ask us to tailor a learning program to meet a specific objective. Either way, our professional instructors deliver affordable solutions at a time and location convenient for your business.

Communication

  • Business Writing – Improve confidence and communicate more clearly, concisely, and courteously.
  • English for the Workplace – Increase effective workplace communication, worker skills, and productivity. Employees benefit by receiving greater understanding of workplace policies and procedures, improved job literacy, and increased participation.
  • Spanish for the Workplace – Our business-specific Spanish classes provide staff with the tools to communicate more productively with Spanish-speaking employees and customers. Workplace Spanish® programs are a non-academic approach to learning bite-size terms and phrases that can be implemented immediately.
  • Customer Service – Explore practical techniques for positive problem-solving, communicating effectively with all cultures, building rapport with customers, and projecting a professional image. 
  • Presentation Training – Help your staff build confidence and skills, manage nerves, and create logical, convincing presentations for both large and small groups. 

Organizational and Personal Development

  • Time Management Minimize time-wasting activities by providing staff members with tools to plan, organize, and set priorities for their workday.

Development of on-the-job skills and trades certifications are an excellent way to retain valued employees by providing upward mobility in the company.  ACE is a leading provider of trades and apprenticeship-related instruction in northern Virginia. We can provide onsite skill development or continuing education classes to meet trades license renewal requirements. 

We have provided continuing education programs for electricians, plumbers, and gas fitters at convenient times and locations.  All Apprenticeship and Trade and Industry classes can be customized and presented onsite to meet your needs.

Teach English to Non-Native Speakers

Learn to teach English to adult non-native speakers in this highly interactive course. Practice classroom activities, observe classrooms, discuss observations, and develop lesson plans for an ESOL class.

Course topics include: adult learning theory, assessments, cross-cultural training, integrating technology, lesson pacing and planning, pronunciation, reading, text use and supplements, and using the REEP curriculum.

Requirements: college degree with some teaching/tutoring experience preferred, excellent oral and written English communication skills. CEUs are offered. Enrollment is limited; early registration is recommended.
