Middle Education 6-8 Reduces to Single Subject Endorsement – English, Math, Science or H&SS

Effective: September 21, 2007

To transmit your request to VDOE, please provide the two following items to FCPS Licensure Office:

1. Send your signed and dated letter to VDOE licensure requesting the addition of the endorsement(s) to your teaching licenses
   AND
2. Attach to your letter at least one or more of following items that may be applicable to you to support your request to add this endorsement to a VA license
   
   
   • College Verification Form completed by accredited college/university’s Licensure Designee if employee graduated from an approved middle education 6-8 teacher preparation program in at least one subject –English/math/science/H&SS;
     OR
   • Official transcripts or VDOE approved US equivalency document reflecting at least a bachelor’s degree and completed a minimum of 21 semester hours in at least one subject –English/math/science/H&SS;
     OR
   • A copy of valid out-of-state professional deficiency-free license with “like named” single middle education 6-8 (English/math/science/H&SS) endorsement for VA endorsement reciprocity
     OR
   • A copy of ETS score sheet reflecting passing Praxis II for specific teaching areas requirement for applicable provisional or conditional license holders
