Effective July 2004 per Superintendent Memo No. 137 on http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/suptsmemos/2004/inf137.html, individuals will be required to meet a passing score established by ACTFL and the Virginia Board of Education (VDOE)… Updates about ACTFL and registration information refer to http://www.languagetesting.com/acad_va1.cfm or call 800-486-8444. Submitting a copy of your passing ACTFL oral (OPI) and written (WPI) tests applicable to foreign language prek-12 sought along with your initial VA license application packet is the required VDOE proof for supporting your eligibility for that foreign language prek-12 endorsement.
