4 Requirements for Proper Licensure and Retaining your Full-timeContracted FCPS Instructional or Pupil Personnel Services Position

1. You must hold or immediately secure a valid VA teaching/pupil personnel services license within 30 days of the start date of your employment at FCPS. Be licensed by March 1 of your first school year of FCPS employment to remain a valued FCPS employee!
   
   
2. You must be licensed in the assigned field of your subject/s taught.
   
   
3. You must achieve and maintain your “Highly Qualified” (HQ) status under the Federal Law “No Child Left Behind”
   
   
4. If your license endorsement area requires a Praxis II content test/s, you must submit a passing score by March 1 of your first school year of FCPS employment.
