The mission of HR Wellness in the Office of Benefit Services is to promote wellness initiatives that enhance the overall health and well being of FCPS employees. The wellness initiatives are founded on scientific evidence and provide health information and fitness strategies to inspire healthy lifestyles and lower health risks.

Every FCPS site should have a designated “wellness liaison” representative, who acts as an integral partner with HR Wellness to help bring wellness initiatives to their site population. The site wellness liaisons assist with:

  • coordination and broadcasting of information for HR Wellness initiatives, such as flu clinics, fitness challenges, etc.
  • collection and distribution of materials for wellness events and fitness challenges, such as pedometers, literature, etc.
  • administration of specific events, such as coordinating and running onsite flu clinics
  • communication with HR Wellness regarding site-specific wellness needs
  • posting of monthly health newsletters from HR Wellness on their site bulletin board or staff-only web site

Please contact HRWellness@fcps.edu if your site does not have a wellness liaison or if you will no longer be the wellness liaison for your site.
