Exciting 403(b) Plan Enhancements
Effective September 1, 2009 FCPS will enter into contracts with new 403(b) vendors, Great-West Retirement Services, TIAA-CREF along with a new contract with incumbent vendor, VALIC. These changes provide participants with best in class mutual funds, annuity and stable value products while ensuring competitive fees and quality participant servicing that employees deserve and expect.
Existing contracts with ING, Lincoln Financial, MetLife, Financial Directors, USAA, Horace Mann, and Kaplan Financial will end on December 31, 2009. No payroll contributions can be directed to those contracts after this date. Employees who have salary reductions with one of the deselected providers will need to enroll with a new investment provider by December 20, 2009, in order to continue salary reductions without interruption in 2010. Also, current VALIC participants who wish to continue making contributions without interruptions must reenroll to establish new assets allocations and must complete a new salary reduction agreement by December 20, 2009.
