All FCPS Personnel

All FCPS employees are required to complete the Discrimination and Harassment Awareness Training by October 1, 2008. Employees need to familiarize themselves with the policy and regulations below.

View Policy and Regulations:

  • Policy 4910 , Commitment to Human Relations
  • Regulation 4950 , Sexual Harassment
  • Regulation 4952 , Investigation of Complaints of Discrimination or Harassment Based on Race, Sex, Color, Religion, National Origin, Age, or Disability

Training

Listed below are three ways to complete this training.  Each principal or program manager will determine the method by which his/her employees should complete this mandatory training.  The online training is paperless and does not require any clerical support to manage the training.

Types of training available:

  • Online training: This training is available on My PLT starting June 16, 2008. Nonsupervisors should select the Discrimination and Harassment Awareness Training for nonsupervisors. Supervisors should select the Discrimination and Harassment Awareness Training for supervisors. The supervisors training has the same information as the nonsupervisors training, plus additional information that will provide training on what supervisors must know about discrimination and harassment topics.

Employees may go to http://www.fcps.edu/plt/MyPLT/index.html to begin this training. The training is self-paced and usually takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

  • Group setting training: A principal or program manager may want to request a CD and have his/her employees to view the training in a group setting.  If this is the case, please click here.

  • Face-to-face training: Contact the Office of Equity and Compliance at HROECAdmin@fcps.edu.

Please contact the Office of Equity and Compliance if you are an individual with a disability and require an accommodation in order to complete this training.

For MyPLT issues or technical questions, contact ITServiceDesk@fcps.edu or 703-503-1600 option 3.

All nonexempt US-19 and below employees (employees eligible for overtime) are required to complete the training during regular work hours to comply with Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.  Exempt employees, US-20 and above (employees ineligible for overtime), who elect to take the training during nonwork hours may do so.

If you believe that you have already completed this training, you can verify this by viewing your My PLT transcript. You must have the course titled Discrimination and Harassment Awareness Training on your transcript. Courses taken with a similar title do not meet this requirement.
