We accept applications for instructional positions throughout the year.  Available instructional positions are listed on the FCPS Instructional Talent Gateway.  Using the search features in the gateway, you can browse job openings and apply for any available positions for which you qualify.

In addition, during certain times of the year, we publish the Instructional Vacancy List, which is a list of specific instructional vacancies by school.  By clicking the link, you may review the list or see the next time that it will be published.  If you would like to apply for a position on this list and you are endorsed to teach in that subject area, you must apply for that position through the FCPS Instructional Talent Gateway.  You may also wish to contact the school with the vacancy.  Addresses, telephone numbers, and school profiles can be found under the Schools and Centers link at the top of this page.

If you are recommended for hiring by a principal, an employment specialist will contact you with more specific information. At that time you will need to submit the following documents:

• College or university transcripts
• Two current, professional references. For new teachers, references from your cooperating teacher and university supervisor are required
• Copies of your licenses and endorsements (if issued)
• A copy of a negative tuberculin test administered within the last 12 months
• Original social security card in your legal name (copies cannot be accepted)
• A copy of your Praxis test scores (if taken)
