New Hire Licensure Application Process
Determine what information you need to apply for a Virginia teaching license.
New Instructional Employee Orientation
This is a three-day orientation geared towards all instructional employees including teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, band directors, and speech/occupational/physical therapists. Attendance is required as a condition of employment. It includes the following:
- Attendance at the Human Resources Orientation
- An FCPS Welcome and Instructional Orientation at a central site based on grade level and assignment
- A School-Based Orientation at your school on another day

Offered by Instructional Services, these programs are designed to meet you and your needs with classroom instruction, mentor relationships, and other supports to ensure a successful start to your career with FCPS.
